Default Custom Supercharger Shafts !

For those not wanting to go through the whole post to find out about the new shaft and old vs new please visit my website www.tcsuperchargers.com

Also follow us on twitter at http://twitter.com/tcsuperchargers

here is the deal I took the shaft to the shop that makes parts for Boeing today. They laughed at it and said it was beyond ghetto, the hardening sucks, and the shaft isn't even balanced.

I will be working on the CAD file today for the shaft and will submit the final copy to the shop on Sunday.

The catch.. I need to buy 10 shafts all at once. I will find out an estimate on price asap but im not sure as of yet. The shafts will be full hardened steel and not cheap hollow tubes. The more people that sign on the cheaper they will get. Please let me know asap if you need a shaft pass this along to other forums if you frequent them as I will only post here as I am in school for the rest of the day and don't know if i will get a chance to post it elsewhere.

Just for you guys to get an idea of cost. PSE superchargers, quoted in my other thread, will charge you over $500 for a shaft and require you to ship your whole charger to them. The shafts i will be selling will be going for $300 or less, again I won't know for sure until Sunday, and the more people that want one the cheaper it will get.

I am going to say that I need 5 orders before I can get this done. I have to order 10 and that is alot of money for me to put up. Shafts can only be made on sundays when the shop is not doing normal business so 2 more orders by Sunday and I'll run the order.

Cad drawing I did for the cnc lathe. The final design will be three parts like the original because its not feasible to do a full shaft. The difference is that the tube in the middle will actually be machined out of a block of material, not cast like the stock cheap stuff. The ends are also going to be hardened more than stock. I was guaranteed that these will be bullet proof compared to stock. Also might be selling this with a bearing package as if you need a shaft then you need bearings also cause they are shot, the place also has hookups on bearings that are getting custom ordered for high speed. These will be metal sealed. Not sure yet if i will sell it all together or as an option. Really is up to what the shop wants to do. Price for the shaft as of right now is estimated at around $300, not sure how much bearings will add to that cost. Again it depends on the final quote i get from the shop and how many i order at once.

The 3rd party company that does the shops hardening was dragging. The shaft should be done either later today or tomorrow. I'll post pics and I'll do the test fit as soon as I get the shaft.
