Default Dezod kit

ive been looking at this forum alot lately as i plan to turbo my tc in the coming months, so ive got a few noob questions. With this kit i noticed and option for the down pipe with our without the cat. Will the non catted version pass inspection and can you use the stock cat with the new downpipe? thanks

it depends on what state you live in. if your state has a visual inspection, you'll fail.
in MD, the only inspection is that you can't have a CEL and have to have a gas cap, oh, and no noticible smoke for more than like 10 seconds coming out of your car, or something like that.

Emissions laws, as stated by Drax, are different from state to state. Here in NYS, you can not have a CEL at all. A safety inspection is run through the vehicle too. The NYS DMV plugs into your OBD2 port and connects to the ECU through all of these different little parameters and makes the tech do certain things to verify it's not bogus data.

In FLA, there is no inspection. Nothing! Drive at your own risk

spend the extra few dollars and get the legal beagle downpipe if ur worried about passing emissions. Or, if you do the install yourself (Very simple), then you can always convert the car back to stock to pass inspection.

FWIW, I have the catted DP from Dezod and I'm still failing emissions. Not tested where I live in VA so I don't care....just saying

How do you know your failing emissions if you don't get tested in Va?

the system to rich Bank2 code? thats because you're failing ULEV requirements i gaurantee you're not failing state emission laws. all you need is an antifouler on your secondary O2 sensor and that code will go away.

eh whatever, as i said i dont care lol

but no im not throwing a code, there is just a light on the reader with green for pass emissions or red failing

yea you're prolly right tho, i doubt i actually am failing now that i think about it, for my state at least. the reader is prolly standard and goes by hippie ___got cali laws lol
