1500 for internals plus install!??!?!?!?! you're crazy expect to spend at least 4k for a short block if you're not doing the install yourself

even then..... just the parts would be >$1500 and the install for a shop will require an engine pull, plus install and at least 2 full days of work which is like 16 hours * 60 = 1000 plus the engine pull, fluids etc..... you'll be lucky to be under the 4k

The curse = everyone that post about a big project........ends broken or with a lot of difficulties.

You don't need a build block for that WHP. I only have Cp pistons and K1 rods. That’s less than $1000 and I'm one of the few that could say are really pushing +500whp. Stock internals holds about 350whp and stock sleeves hold +500 +/- so you have enough money for what you want!!!!

sciongt35

has anyone here swapped the rods and pistons out with the block still in the car. i did it in my eclipse i used to have and it worked out great. just curious if anyone has done it with the tc. my car only has 7k on is so i highly doubt the cylinder walls are worn. i just want to run 350whp reliably instead of pushing the envelope with the stock internals

Yeah the curse is something else on here.

Anyway, those K1 rods hold up to some abuse and kick arss for the price.
