Engine Sleeves Recommendation
Hello everyone, I wanted to ask what are some good places to send out a motor to be sleeved and possibly blueprinted and balanced?
I remember hearing about companies like ERL and Eagle doing the sleeves and if i remember correctly the prices were close to $1000. But overall which place would you recommend and why.
Thanks for your help, time, and assistance. Appreciate it.

Both those companies are the ones to go with. I think there is one other one but don't remember the name or much about it.
I don't think Golden Eagle blueprints and balances engines or at least not ours. I don't think they assemble them either.
ERL will do everything but I believe they are no longer taking engines from the public (mine is there now). You would have to go through a dealer. You can contact Todd from Turbotoyotas aka Why Industries, he his a dealer and that's who I went through.

darton is coming out with a wet sleeve for the TC
ERL = Darton East. ERL uses Darton Sleeves in all there Sport Compact Applications.
Take this for what its worth:
1- GE is going one way while ERL is going in the opposite direction.
And you get what you pay for.
Going cheap on the most important part of your engine build will only cost you more in the long run.
And if you don't go with ERL the first time you eventually will

I have used ERL for all our motors whether they be a Honda, a TC, and STi or a VQ35 and have always been MORE than satisfied with their work. Yes it takes longer to do with them than others but their attention to detail and experience in the racing world (particularly in the Tc racing world) make it worth it.
