all I hear is cheap, cheap, cheap...makes me think I'm in a hen house or something. If you can't afford to do things, then don't do them. If you can find a good deal on a WIDEBAND air/fuel gauge then good on you. But I wouldn't buy one just because it's "cheap." There are several out there that are good. AEM, Autometer, Innovate, PLX, GReddy, HKS, and many more. Since it's a vital component for "performance" monitoring it's not going to be cheap.

wow sorry.. didn't mean to say cheap. let me rephrase what i said "what deals have other members on this site gotten for their wideband gauges?" of course it's not going to be cheap, there can be a better deal that someone missed out on and someone found, that's all i'm trying to say.

this isn't going to be your daily driver, is it?

get it? "daily" driver for "tcdaily"!!!
ok, bad joke...

...anyway, if you can only afford one right now, get a good wideband AFR and a cheap boost gauge for the time being. You need both, but you need the AFR to be accurate, and even a cheap boost gauge will tell you if your 7psi spring is spiking to 14psi.

After you save up, ditch the cheap boost (like glowshift) and get a good boost gauge. autometers probably have the best bang for your buck with price and quality, but I'm an all AEM guy, just like java.

Your third gauge cane be either oil pressure or EGT...I choce oil pressure.

I always wanted to get the zeitronic system, but I wanted my gauges up on my dash, not in my cubby.

By the way...what turbo kit did you get?

Just about every mechanical boost and oil pressure gauge is the same. You overpay and your wasting money. The only gauge that you should absolutely go name brand is for the AEM wideband.

AEM gauges are electric...I most certainly DO NOT have a hot oil line coming up into my dash!

do not get mechanical gauges because they are not accurate!! You NEED the electric gauges. AEM has the best price for wideband A/F gauge...and is a damn good brand. Autometer is IMO, the best and a little more expensive. I agree with Mr. Meaty...get a good wideband a/f ratio gauge and a cheap boost gauge. Once u get the cash, upgrade the boost gauge to a more accurate one.

Yeah. That's a good gauge at a good price.
I'm just saying that if I had to pick between one of the other, I'd think a wideband is more importiant.
Are you already boosted and running around with no gauges?

Honestly, I'd wait till you could get both gaauges, cause without either, you run the risk of blowing you $hit up, and that is gonna end up costing you alot more then either gauge!

stay out of boost as much as possible... you will boost its inevitable.. just be smart about it. then when you have gauges to monitor performace go nuts!
