youll need a new manifold with a wastegate flange on it....youll also need to weld the wastegate flapper inside the turbo

^not necessarily, i know for a fact some chick on here had a elbow with a 38mm flange welded to her greddy mani and she was running good

i know you will also have to close the internal flap on the greddy turbo, or just go with another turbo if that was your plan!

but if you do go the welding route it should definitely be done by someone who can weld good, not just some exhaust shop

Can I remove the internal from the greddy? Anyone done that before? I plan on a new header because the greddy has a crack anyway. Any preferences on a good header for this application? Also can I use the existing greddy downpipe if it will be an open dump or will removing the internal wg change its location?

Can you tell me why because I dont completely understand the required connections for this external gate. The gate connects to the manifold then also connects to the turbo. The turbo connection im assuming is why I need a new downpipe? Anyone have any pictures of the connections for an external gate to help me understand this? Interested to see the pipes

Ok there is a link to a turbonetics turbo kit. See the external wastegate how its mounted to the manifold and has a recurculated dump tube back into the downpipe? The reason you will need a new downpipe is because the new manifold changes the position of where the turbo mounts and im not sure if the greddy downpipe is a 5 bolt or 4 bolt. The new turbo will determine which one you will need but you can also just get a new manifold and have a custom downpipe made at a local shop and it shouldnt cost that much either.

Also you could PM this azntc cause i think he sold a greddy kit that he did what you wanna do to yours. You just kinda seem unsure of this whole think and dont know exactly what parts are what and why they change things the way they do. Or at least thats the vibe I am gettign from your last post. I could be wrong so dont take offense. I just am trying to explain it the best i can but i dotn wanna confuse you.
