I replied to your PM...but here it is for everyone else:

http://forum.aempower.com/forum/inde...c,17194.0.html

Download the full release. When you go to install, there are actually 2 programs...one is the EMS software and the other is the logger... you only need the logger.
Now, when you log with teh f/ic, it lets you export as a .txt file...you can use the aem logger to import that .txt file and it will convert it to a format that the logger can use, but you have to select "float" (I think..I dont' have a .txt log handy to try it out).
Then it will pull all the data in and you can choose which perameters to display...you can even pull in overlays...it's SWEET!

I have tried V1, 1.06, 2, 3.01 and 3.04.

The results I got were from using version 2.

When you tried version 1 of the software, what map did you try to load up?

...are we having fun yet?

Just out of curiosity...why are you trying to connect? Are you going to adjust fuel trims or you just want a copy of the map?

the only reason why I have not suggested flashing the f/ic is because when I went from version 1 to version 2, my car started running differently even thought the tune was the same and I dont' want to tell you to do something that might jepordize the tune you paid for.

OK...I think you need to be using version 1.0 of the software to mathc the firmwhere that is on there. and when you install version 1, there should be a base map included in it. first make sure you can open that map in version 1 on the laptop and the buttons become active before you try connecting to the f/ic.

don't forget to click "FROM FIC" when you connect. I know Mr Meaty already said this but if you F'up then you will no longer have your tune, IT'S GONE.............

Reviving this because I had this problem the other day and this fixed it. Maybe could come in handy for someone? Probably not anyone familiar with searching but those people need love too ;)
