i jsut wanna buy um pre gapped so i dont have to mess with them.

crush02342002 08-07-2008 02:58 AM

then you have two choices .044 or .030

java09 08-07-2008 03:01 AM

i guess .030 should be fine right???

crush02342002 08-07-2008 03:03 AM

i dont think it will be a big deal, but if idle is a little funky and you get some misfire codes i would try to regap them and see if that does anything. atleast that my plan

java09 08-07-2008 03:07 AM

haha i guess il jsut use the 2 step colder plugs i have now.

OuterHeaven 08-07-2008 03:08 AM

I am sure .030 will be fine. You may loose a small amount of millage (probably not even noticeable). If it idles rough then they will be way too small but .030 should be fine. I think I am at .032 or .034 and my 05 runs great. I just got 28.5 MPG with my last fill up 8)

java09 08-07-2008 03:10 AM

imon stockers right now.. i wonder how bad that is?? hahaha

highvoltage1 08-07-2008 03:16 AM

Wow crush congrats on almost being there. Glad you got the bulk of stuff mna. GL getting tuned. Cant wait to see some numbers especially with all the heat down there. Thats cool you got a baseline dyno too so we can see the actual gains.

java09 08-07-2008 03:20 AM

yup my friend should have all his stuff by friday! then install and see how everything goes from there.. cruch and my friend should be boosted around the same time.

do any of you guys get a little, variable pitch whistle noise from your engine bay when you let off the gas? i'm pretty sure my setup is leak-free, but ive always gotten a slight, multi-note whistle when i'm decelerating or coasting. i'm assuming it's just the turbo being strange... anyone notice it? it's kind of embarrassing if i'm pulling into a parking space and a pedestrian next to it is staring at my car wondering why a high-pitched noise is coming from it.

Ace83 08-07-2008 03:51 AM

hey crush, I my tuner told you that my gaps are .35? its funny coz he never told me lol.. but im ready to get new set of plugs, so .35 is a good gap? Im running a lil rich so I prolly buy step 2 with .44 or .40

you didnt hear him bark out an order to his minion to gap your plugs  how could you mis that

but anyways thats what the great debate is all about...........what to gap my plugs :ponder:

Ace83 08-07-2008 03:59 AM

well my plugs are fouling at .35 so .40 might be good for the current tune that I have.. haha I did remember him yelling the gap but my mind was focused on something else haha..
