still have this odd dip in it but you dont notice it on the street or anything.

crush02342002 12-18-2008 11:52 PM

i just checked and your map isnt taking timing out till 6psi (20psi absolute) and then its only in the upper rpms........i wondered why i had alot better acceleration on your map......lol

If you destroked it, you would be more suitable going the route of Time Attack/Road Racing as destroking woudld aid in reving higher.

Oh I changed that a while back lol.

rhythmnsmoke 12-19-2008 03:03 AM

I'm only taking out 3 degrees timing at 12-12.5 lbs of boost.

I feel pretty safe yeah. A/F is in the high 11's, low 12's. At night more like mid 12, and it pulls pretty good.

And that's still tuned for 15PSI, so I only ever get up to around 25-27PSIA now that I'm running 6PSI.

sweet, no problems at all huh.........thats great....ill look a little more into my ignition map and add more timing in....iv been adding just a tiny bit back in and iv noticed a world of difference.

crush02342002 12-19-2008 10:45 PM

map looks solid jon.

crush02342002 12-19-2008 10:52 PM

oh iv got an update on my boost controller........i think its dead.......lol

my air filter hits it when i boost hard and its left a nice little dent in the air filter....(injen air filter thats wraped in metal mesh)
the boost controller will work some of the time but will cut out like its a loose power connection....i poped the hood to check it and the wires under the hood are still real solid so it could be a loose connection inside the controller or loose wire under the dash. I used splice connectors for my power so i really dont think thats it but it could just be the switch connections are loose. ill check on it sometime this weekend if i get a chance.

crush02342002 12-23-2008 09:51 PM

idk whats going on with my boost controller.........its doing great now.......so it had to be a loose connection. I still havnt had a chance really to check it out, iv been dealing with my little girls birthday and helping a friend out with his mustang...(im trying to con him into going turbo...lol)

crush02342002 12-28-2008 01:12 AM

ok iv decided to do the engine build in two parts......i know its going to cost a little more but i suck at saving....lol

im thinking of starting with a pnp head, larger valves, bc stage 2 cam, bc springs, eagle intake mani, larger throttle body.

any suggestions on tb?

next year ill concentrait on the bottem end.......its more expensive and ill have a few things payed off then.....thats kinda the reason for the two part deal.

Ace83 12-28-2008 01:38 AM

i say build your bottom first, it will make you get to the boost level you want with your turbo.. you wont be maxing out the stock head setup on low boost level.. cams and intake mani will just be as expensive as rods, pistons

crush02342002 12-28-2008 01:45 AM

not really......if i had the tools to do my own full engine build id go with that but i was leaning toward p-tuning to do the bottom end and thats a heafty price tage.......iv been trying to get ahold of todd to see what he thought about it and if he might be able to point me in the right direction on someone to build my bottom end but he hasnt responded or answered his calls.

crush02342002 12-28-2008 01:46 AM

anyways i did some of the math and the top end looks to be about half the price as a built bottom end

crush02342002 12-28-2008 01:58 AM

rechecked my math........top end is still cheaper by about 2grand........not including shipping for either one
