Plus i dont understand how he can even reach boost at all with no management....the car shoulda stalled on idle with larger injectors n no ecu

A Short Block Does with Labor and Install he needs a longblock this this is TOAST like paul said and i think the only way he made a little bit of power is with that stupid velocity stack maf adapter crap they have with that treadstone kit crock of crap if i say so tuning a car of a maf adapter and no engine management. Too many variables and bases not covered with out engine management.

I'm installing my Turbo kit next week. I had no clue about Force Induction, I have been on Scion Life for about 6 months and learned A LOT before I actually decided to boost.

Just wanted to thank everyone on the forums . As for the blown motor "ouch" no management come on now. He should have known better.

Yeah it is a real long time for that motor to survive i think it was because the treadstone kit only has 440cc injectors and that velocity stack MAF adapter and plus i took his ecu to work with me and did the TRD Reflash with the 440cc injectors. Obiviously the reflash isnt enough and that is my only guess to how he survived that long

How would you explain the zpi kits, that had no management and were just fine up to 6-7 psi.

But then again I think they were on stock fuel injectors. Not too sure, since I never got a zpi kit.

With bigger injectors, the car might be able to idle. Really rich but idle. It all depends on the size of the injectors, and the latency, blah blah blah.
