does it have any sort of tune loaded to it yet? if not then that is why it wont start.

Suppose to have a base map I hooked it to my PC and it doesn't come up on there car won't start but when I bypass the fic with the jumper it fires right up. I have a 2011 scion xb automatic it's the descendent / world racing turbo kit I don't know if it's cause I'm a automatic if that's why

isnt the jumper meant for it to run solely on the stock ecu if im not mistaken? been a while since ive fiddled with the fic but i think thats why it starts right up.

By-pass harness allows ecu to control everything (I believe). If you don't have a base map or tune loaded onto the FIC, that is likely the cause for it not starting. At the bare minimum, fuel and maf maps need to be filled in. O2 and ignition can remain zero'd out as long as you're not driving it hard. Load inputs for fuel and O2 should be set to MAP and MAF should be set to MAF. This allows the FIC to draw its inputs for the Y-Axis in the tables from the correct sensors.

How do you load a base map it doesn't show up on my PC when using the USB I has no experience with this stuff only used the uni chip and had my ecu reflashed by Toyota when I was supercharged. ____ed had everything bolted up and had to go back to stock cause I couldn't get it to work

If you're using the reflashed ecu with a turbo kit, it may throw some things off. I think some ppl ran into the same problem cuz the reflashed ecu changes a lot of parameters. Most basemaps take into account a stock ecu. Not sure if anyone has successfully used a piggyback with a reflashed ecu.
