NGK Racing plugs with AEM EMS

How many folks are using these? Running into any issues? Just curious as they are a non-resistor plug, do they cause any issues with the EMS? (AEM EMS is already finicky when it comes to cam/crank signal noise as it is). Or does it not really matter since the coil is directly on top of the plug? (No HT leads)

i wouldnt run non resistors with the aem

X2. Don't run non resisters period in the tC, random misfire issues will happen.

Thats what I was afraid of, only bad thing is the Iridium plugs on high boost/E85 Ive ran into some issues. Is there any copper resistor plug in the 8-9 heat range?

NGK makes them, you may have to call them. What gap are you running?

Was running .022, just about to get the car running again

I did some digging and the only copper resistor plug I can find is a BKR8E-11 or BKR8E. The problem with this, is these plugs arent sold in the US as they are only used on some certain bikes. Guess Ill try my luck with the Iridiums again :/ Maybe try running a .020 gap

I thought the plug to use with the TRD supercharger was the Denso Ik24 gapped to .040?

anti_virus347 03-06-2013 05:11 PM

Im dumb, you made no mention of the TRD supercharger....where the hell did i get that from

Niiice :) I was eyeing those but was afraid a 13/16 socket might not fit down in our valve cover, but it does?

Did you try ngk's website? Contact them.

I called NGK and they told me they don't have any BKR8E or BKR8E-11, they only have BKR8EIX. The only difference in the BKR7E and BKR7E-11 is the gap, just showing you an example.

Yup I found out the same thing. Think Ill just be sticking with the Iridiums.

Just found out NGK has resistor racing plugs, if your set on running these then give them a call.
