Default NYS Inspection Questions - 440cc/550cc - Driving Cycle

Anyone familiar with NYS Inspetions?

From my understanding - 440cc injectors will not throw a code but 550cc will?
(If the car is untuned)

I also noticed when I disconnect the battery then reconnect - The CEL stays off for quite some time - 150-200 miles. Can I take my car during that time to get inspected or will they be able to tell I havent made a complete driving cycle?

I will be tuned in OP3(open loop 3) with either 440 or 550 (nots sure yet)
For inspection I planned on returning to stock tune and putting the o2 sensor back in.

Any info would help! Thanks!

They can tell that you haven't completed a driving cycle, and just because you don't have a CEL doesn't mean it isn't "pending"

Nor 440s or 550s if tuned right will throw a CEL that will cause you to fail NYS inspection. However, if you reset your CEL the status of the OBD2 goes into a relearn mode, which takes 50-100 miles or 1 day of complete cycle driving to resurface the codes. This does not mean it might be a pending DTC, which will cause failure of NYS emissions as well.

Lastly, if you car is in Open Loop all of the time, you will fail NYS inspection. The inspection process incorporates the O2 sensors, EVAP/Purge and a few others to be functioning properly to pass inspection.
