Default Point me to the right tread... (tires, guidance, and discussion)

Hey guys looking for help finding drag slick threads. I know a very select few have ran slicks and I would like some input on what wheel and tire combos people have been running. I would rather go full slick from what I have seen as far as radial pricing goes.

Mods, please feel free to move this to the Wheel/Tire thread but I figured I would get more help here.

Thanks a bunch in advance!

I should also point out that my goals are to go as fast as my power and weight will allow. If power determines tire size then I will say around or under 300 wheel on a mustang for this coming season.

Just found this thread... sorry guys!

@Paul, Would you say these tires have similar grip compared to slicks/radials for my power levels? I was thinking I would have to throw a set in the back and pop them on once I got to the track so I dont really need streetable tires.

In regards to radials I was looking at BFGoodrich g-Force Radials in either 225/50-15 thrown on a 15x7 steelie. Great price and pretty close to stock size. Might hurt my MPH but help with times? Could try and throw the 225/45x17 size they have on a cheap pair of rims as well.

From what I read in that thread, seems like a 24.5x8-15 slick might work well for my setup.
