Default Problem w/ FIC

This problem started after I purchased a used FIC about a month ago. Here's the originial post:

At about 3k rpm @ WOT its stuttering / jerking pretty hard. My tuner couldnt finish the tune because of this problem . So after doing some research, I found the "resistor fix". I did it, and its still doing the same thing. Looking at the forums on the aem site, I saw not only the Cam1MagI (+/-) but the CrankMagI (+/-) was done also with another 2k resistor. So I did that signal also and still pretty much the same. Its gotten a little bit better where its not jerking as hard but not tunable. Anyone know what else can be done?
If the throttle is gradually pressed up pasted 3.5k rpm and then to the floor, its sweet. My tuner was still able to do a great tune in spight of the fact.

The slave version was changed to z104 was originally 1.07. Change out the 2.2k resistors for a 4.7k , nothing ....... Tried removing the resistor on the crank sensor, no difference.

The tuner said it might have something to do with injector pulse duration or pulse width, I dont remeber. Im guessing it needs to be widened.

Anyone got anthing?
Thanks

have you not updated your AEM software to 3.04?

so you are still throwing misfiring codes? Are the resisters you used before 1/2 watt 2.2k ohm? Have you double checked the slave version(i know you said you flashed it to z104.hex but have you double checked to see if it took...ie "get slave version") Have you also flashed your main chip to x300.hex? Check your ignition map, are you taking out any timing? Spark plugs still good? What gap are they? 1step? 2step? Check coil packs?

Im not actually throwing any misfire codes. Its just stuttering at / around 2.5k-3.5k rpm @ WOT. The resistors are 1/2 watt.... I made sure of that. As I put in my last post, I changed the resistors out to 4.7k ohms (1/2watt) and still no difference.
The slave version is def z104 and the main chip was updated with the most current 3.04..... not x300. Should it be x300 not 3.04?
Timing was def taken out during the tune. I dont think its timing related. Plugs were changed out from Denso IK20s to IK24s gapped to .028. I thought that gap was a bit tight, but my tuner insisted that that gap was good. Either way, it didnt make a difference.

It shouldnt have anything to do with the car itself. If I plug the unichip back in, this problem doesnt happen. Do you have any info on widening the injector duty cycle? Could that be the problem?

ok good looks like youv narrowed it down to the fic itself....3.04 is the software you use on your pc (for the most part) x300.hex is included into the 3.04software...youll find it in the Aem folder under programs. I origanaly thought that when you downloaded 3.04 software that it would automatically load x300.hex onto your fic...but now i think you need to flash it in order to be running it. Its the exact same process you use to flash your slave chip. I dont think however x300.hex is going to fix your issue.

if you can send me your map and ill send you one of mine, that way i can look over yours and see if i can spot anything, while i do that you can try my map out and see if you still have the same problem.

Be sure you have z104.hex on it. AEM told me specifically that newer flashes had problems on the tC

I had the same problem, check your wiring or harness. I sent my harness back to boom slang and they sent me a new one and it worked fine

not a bad idea to check the harness but it would be hard to tell i would think......how did you figure out it was the harness?

yeah, but when I upgraded to x300.hex it upgraded my slave flash to a newer one as well so I had to reflash again with z104.hex

AEM told me to check it out, so I sent it back to boomslang for them to look at, They said it looked fine but they built me another one anyway, and it had some problem, I believe the MAF in and the MAF out wires were crossed

So I was about to try your map crush.... and i said, let me check the firmware just to make sure..... and what do you know.... it was z101.

So I guess somewhere along the line of loading 3.04, the firware was changed back.
So anyway, its all good. No more stutter @ WOT and the car is running sweet.

Thanks for your help guys.

damn it i have the same problem, at low RPM's if i lagg the turbo the car jerks like a _____!!!!
And i was tuned around this, basically the tuner did what he could. SO if i now go and reflash the FIC with all the new software that is on their site, will this immediatly fix the problem or another tuned be required?

im guessing another tune, to get it perfect
