Default Removing Valve Body?

For those who have, how hard is it to remove and reinstall the Valve Body?

I'm looking to get it upgraded to help those wonderfully slow shifts after the Turbo.

IPT does it. The solenoids they use would cost us 250 a pop individually.

They are not too hard to work on. It's just the parts are so damn expensive. Just sent the valve body to IPT.

Here is the DIY and it is very good:

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...e+body+upgrade

The removal is super simple just remember where the long bolts go. When you put it back in you will need two people since the small spring and the two large springs are really hard to hold in place while screwing the valve body in.

You might wanna invest in the clutches too they will deffinently hold more power than the valve body but it will be very hard to install as a novice. I am trying to save for new clutches right now.

Yes the valve body is easy to take out. You really need someone to help you to put it back in. With the springs make sure you shorter linkage is connected right. If now you will have to tear it all the way back down. It sucks! My DIY has plenty of pictures just make sure you take your time and make sure you get everything.

Talking New Here: Where is this DIY?

I am working on an 06 tC, I'm looking to replace the PCS. I've removed the transmission's filter and reached the solenoids, only problem is I can't seem to remove them of the lower valve body to access them.
