Default s/c help asap

I have an appointment to insall my s/c tomorrow and they said because i dont have my oem intake it might be a problem. My dumbass threw it out, cause i thought i would never need it again. I usually keep all my stock parts to just in case. For some reason they dont know what part i need. I was just wondering what part i need and if i need it at all. I remember seeing something on here about it but i cant find it now. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

05 and 06 need the top half of the oem intake box TRD only supplies the bottom half and I think on 07 up TRD supplies the entire box

The part without the space for the MAF sensor would work, so that should be the top end towards the throttle body.

Ask the price of the box and compare it with the cheapest Weapon R S/C intake you can find. (That could give +10 WHP if tuned...)

forpinks, you cant be calling anybody a dumbass with the kind of threads you be creating

and 05-06 require the top half of the airbox. i'm not sure how the 07 airboxes are so i cant give you an answer on that one. search a local forum, maybe you can find an 05-06 in your city.

No damn it! The 07 air box top is different due to the different MAF design, the reason the 07 and 08 CAI is different than the 05-06. All TRD sends with the 05/06 kit is the lower airbox assy and the adapter that makes the lower air box (which is bigger) fit the stock airbox lid (which is smaller).

then why would the top of that air box look different form the stockair box, the link i posted clearly states that that is the other part is the top half TRD airbox, and that the top of the article states its for a 05 tc and your saying all TRD sends for thr 05-06 models is the bottom

No, the part your referencing is the little white trupet thing that goes in the stock air box lid. It slides rite in. I know this because I just installed my supercharger in my garage last Sunday sunday sunday.

no what i am asaying is that in that article the supercharger is for an o5-06 model tc, they state that the other half(top) is the other part of the TRD air box, i know about the white inlet, im sure they would have stated that you would need to use the stock upper piece of the original air box, but then again it states its the tip half of the TRD

scion_jon, they re-use the top half of the stock airbox (for the 05-06 at least).

No, when you put the box together it suddenly becomes a TRD box, kinda like how bumble bee turns from a robot to a Camaro.

The bottom part is new, the stock top is reused. In the directions and parts list it even specs only a new bottom box piece.
