Default S/C question

is this a frkn 05-06 s/c crank pulley or 07-08?
b/c i heard the 05-06 has a tamper proof plastic cap. but this one dosent? it just the has the bolt. helpp!!

anyone else? i just feel like the crank pulley's gonna pop if i dont add the stronger bolt. that things frkn 85 dollars!!

The crank pulley isnt going to "pop". Have you seen the size of the bolt?

haha okay. just making sure.

and does the 05-06 superchargers come with the specialized BOLT for the crank pulley?

b/c mine dosent have the plastic cap, but the special bolt. are 05-06's liek that?

Which bolt is supposed to have a plastic cap? The only one IM aware of is the one on the supercharger.

woops sorry.

its the s/c crank pulley bolt. not the oem crank pulley bolt.

i heard ur suppose to melt off the cap to install the 9.5 but mine dosent have the cap. just a specialized bolt. are 05-06 s/c's like that?

No, 05/06 have a 14mm bolt on them.

it's not necessarily the year of the s/c. the first couple of batches came with the plastic tamper proof caps that were placed on top of the s/c pulley bolt. after a while, people started bringing it in for warranties without caps. TRD decided to hell with the plastic caps, we'll just stick a special bolt on there. that way, you have to do some extra work in order to change out that pulley.

lol glad you got it. but yeah just get that bolt off and have a replacement bolt and you're good to go.

okay...if you put on a cold air intake with a supercharger, you have to make sure the piping of the intake is the same diameter at the MAF as it was when it was stock, or else it won't get a proper reading, and it will mess up your A/F ratios and you'll run lean.

i will be putting a 9.5 and CAI without the AFR gauge. pray for me that it will run okay :[
