I was bored at the job today and just thinking about how awesome it'd be if Scion Life people got together and helped build one bad tc to race in PINKs. ScionLife people all over the US could sit back at home and say they helped out in the process of the build. Ive seen other forums do this and think it could be a great time meeting up with people.
Not everyone would have to put actual time into it, but if people donate parts (engine or fiberglass hood, hatch, etc.) there not using, or money to get the parts. It'd be great if we could get some company sponsors who are active on the board to help out too. We could find a good deal somewhere on a tc or even a slightly wrecked one and part out interior pieces that we don't need.
Not sure how many people would be intrested but it could be something cool to look into

 

i agree with this idea. infact, i think people should send me all the free parts i need to make this happen. c'mon people. its about time that we came together and made this dream a reality.

I dont see the point. The show is not about having a fast car at all. Its all about who can cry the most and threatn/imtimidate the other team the most. The intimidating person gets 800 car lengths and wins, even tho they sandbagged the whole race. That show is such a joke. There is nothing involved in it except acting and deceiving.

True to a point....as I have been involved with the show twice....its all about the "game"

But at the same time is a really good time and a wonderful "marketing" opportunity.

Currently building a 42R setup for just this purpose

they never have any Tuner cars on pinks. Ever.

 

i saw a turboed civic on there... it had a maaaaajor boost leak and the driver was whiny as hellllll

 

I saw that episode, they blamed the other team saying they sabotaged his wastegate line. Then the dumbies bust out the slicks in the last run and break an axle i think.

 

there was another episode when the guys who own full race put a civic that they built up for the show.

one of my favorite shows however was when two brothers raced each other. one had i believe it was a 2000 body style red camaro and the other brother had a blue 70's camaro. both very beautiful cars. they didn't argue, if something was wrong with the one car they gave plenty of time to fix and things like that. showed great sportsmanship between the two.

i have seen a couple of other episodes like that. then others are just a bunch of _____es that wanna cry and try to cheat each other out of the cars.
