On a more common sense note, you expect to extend the MAF all the way down to the Intake coming off the turbo when that intake is positioned low in cold air? It's the entire system design flow, not a matter of whether or not you think it's pointless.

The tuner should make the difference there along with the engine management chosen.

Again, BOV, different topic, but still applicable with engine management.

You know I'm getting the PTuning setup. You know the intake is positioned low routing into the fender. It's the grander scheme of things. The whole picture.

I still love the AEM EMS.. <3 (Dezod hit the homerun with that one)
Yeah once we meet up again we'll take a vid or something. I wasn't picking on Dezod personally, it's just my sense of humor. You know me Mike! I know Dezod brings a lot to the table with their products and innovation. The only part I didn't understand is how the black box was interfering because there shouldn't be any other device trying to modify the O2 signal so how could multiple devices be fighting over the same issue? I guess if you had an excessively modified fuel map you could run into issues but if done properly (easy) then that wouldn't factor in.

Either way, ScionFred has PM'd me a few times regarding the X1 and he's keeping me posted on the progress he's making. He loves the unit so I'm assuming it's pretty user friendly and has great capabilities.

Long story short, I love my setup and I'm sooo glad I have my car back. All those nit-picky problems just made it seem like I wasted thousands of dollars on parts and it sucked to drive. Now it's just pure fun!

Just the Fuel Enrichment Module or the Greddy also?

I can't really take pics of how it got tuned but I do recommend a good tuner! The SS Module is really easy to install and tune though. I'll see if I can find some pics laying around and post them up. Everything I have is behind my glovebox.

Pics of my underhood can be seen in the My Ride link below in my sig.

http://www.splitsec.com/products/dat...nricher_ds.pdf

This is the install manual. I'd have to pull out my glovebox to check the wiring again but the customer support over the phone had me wired up perfect in no time. Tuning is a snap. The little metal adjustable screw labeled V1 determines at what psi it activates. It comes preset for about 1.5 psi. If you turn it half turn counter clockwise it will be verrrry close to 0 psi exactly. Then upper left dial is turned counter-clockwise to enrichen the mixture as needed.

The wiring is pretty simple. Tie both grounds together (module and sensor), get switched 12v power, two wires on unit get tied together and one wire taps the O2 reference wire. Long story short, only 3 wires touch your car's wiring... power, ground, and sensor reference (same wire the F/IC uses to modify AFR's via the O2 map).

Also it needs a vac line but you can just T-Tap it off the line for the Greddy or run it's own line. It looks very weather proof so you could easily mount it under hood.

The ultimate has no partial throttle capability only because it has no O2 map to modify values like the F/IC. In place of this void, I used the SS Module to tell the ECU to aim for a different target. The box get's activated by the PSI of my choice, which in this case, is zero. Once the car goes into open loop at WOT, the Greddy is doing ALL of the tuning and everything is wonderful in my world

Other setups may not need it as badly as I did since I have the smallest turbo TC's usually run (except ZPI) with the Turbonetics kit. It's ball bearing also so spool time is insane.

Maybe it's partially because I have a AT but my journal bearing .63 T3/.60 T04E 50 trim Precision 5031E routinely produces 5psi while still in closed loop. IMO it's far from ideal or even safe to run 5psi at 14.7:1 AFR with 9.8:1 CR. If I were running the G-EMU I'd absolutely add a O2 signal modifier for CL AFR enrichment.

^^ I'm curious as well.

I had the psc1 a while ago and had some issues with it meshing with the tune on my ultimate. I didn't mess with it though, just put it on and loaded the dezod map to it. Would the enricher be different?

I am very interested in getting something for partial throttle as I've basicly modified my driving style to not get into boost while in partial throttle.

I got the Fuel Enrichment Module. Not the PSC1. Works instantly (no delay) and stays put down to .1 increments even when changing boost levels while accelerating.
