i thought about doing this when i had a zpi kit. because of the sharp downward angle of the outlet flange of the manifold. a larger turbo would come in contact with the block/transmition. if you want to use a larger turbo, then do it right. get a peakboost kit. :D

cause there arnt any replacement parts for knock-off china-made turbos....plus the rebouild would be more $ than a new turbo anyways.

well, if you can't cancel the order on the turbo you just ordered, why don't you look into a different manifold to accomadate your new turbo?

of course you should see if it will fit. but more than likley you are screwed. unless you want to, as zpi put it to me, "notch the block". give paul at dezod a ring and see if he can cut you a deal on a manifold/downpipe/ic piping combo.

notch the block huh.... hmmm i dont know about that. you know (and i definitely dont mean to bash zpi or turn this into a zpi bashing thread) but a buddy of mine got one of their preformance clutches for his xb the clutch was 2 tenths of an inch of and seriously messed his transmission up. they didnt warranty or refund the clutch or trans or do much of anything for my friend. ANYWAYS! yea i think i will give it a try and hopefully it will all work out (yikes nervous). ill def give dezod a call as soon as i find out whether it will work or not. im really not expectin him to cut me a deal SINCE i havent bought from him before but im sure they are fair people and ill try them out.

you could get a manifold/downpipe from tood at peakboost for $1,325.

http://www.whyindustries.com/store/p...roducts_id=100

or at dezod for about $900

Theres a one year warranty on the turbo. the turbo is manufactured through turbochargers.com

Send them the turbo, plus your ZPI invoice, and they will rebuild it, or replace it Free of charge. This is the company bought there turbo's through.

Turnaround time is 2 weeks

If you call them, they will tell you the same thing. they warranty all turbo claims.

it is still a chinese knock-off of a mitsubishi turbo. probably better to replace it with a real quality part.
