Default Turbo Project!

Will be posting pics....

Just purchased

Turbonetics turbo kit, New stage 1 head, low compression pistons and rods,
INGALLS 93027 "STIFFY" ENGINE TORQUE DAMPER: SCION tC 05-06
ClutchMaster Stage 3 Clutch Kit : Scion TC
Fidanza Lightweight Flywheel : Scion TC

still looking for a boost controller, i live in MD i know that most digital boost gauges mess up in cold weather leaving you running at the wrong boost, so even tho i want a digital, ill probly go manual. ANY IDEAS?

hopefully ill run it around 14 low boost and around 20 high

hoping 2 beat my buddys 350z lol intake and headers/ exhaust.

i should win by power numbers alone but if i win hes gotta put, KILLED BY A TC on the back of his car... gotta win...

probly some bbs rims with the new goodyear drag radials in the front.... gotta hook up some how,

anyone running 2 step or anti-lag

dont wait your time on the stiffy, get the speed-source mounts and put them on when you drop the tranny. Other than that, good luck!!

If all you hope to beat is a 350z with bolt ons then you went way overbourd...lol. Just throw the kit on the stock motor and you'll be sitting pretty with evo's and sti's....350z's will be a few cars back.

that head package revs so quick, you dont even need that flywheel. i also hope your getting some head studs while your in there because the stock ones are no good and are not re-usable. good luck with the build, ill be watching

This will probably put a tC into the 11's with a decent driver consistently most likely. I do not know what kind of numbers the Turbonetics turbo can really make but I am sure you could replace it with something else if need be. That 350z will be toast.

Default thankss

Hey uptop, u said dont bother with the stiffy, what exactly is the other mounts ur mentioned, do u have a site 4 it,

I got the flywheel in a package deal, but neway i have seen the different head kits, but is it a stud kit for the TC or would they be upgraded universal...?

come on as a tc with just intake header exhuast, its going 2 be sweet to be running with cars that normally kick my ___, im just worried i wont be able to keep the power from spinning!! but hopefully the radials will help me hook up,

anyways depending on how i fair with the Z he already called and said i get the kick so i could turn that into 5 cars really fast, i know ill up set him but his other car is a GSX eclipse running 12.5, and i think i can set the race now and get 5 cars + im going to paint my intercooler black with temp paint to keep it sleeper, i wish i could keep a grill in the way but its no matter, he'll find out im turboed real quick.....

If u got any other helpful hints to help me hook up let me know, i had 8 grand saved for the project, got the turbo from Turbo kits.com for 5 gs and they threw in a boost guage and turbo timer,so that was sweet the head, pistons rods are costing 2, so i got 1 g left, and the tires are going credit style. so stock scion tc 16.800$ + 8,000 in parts= 24,800 with 350 whp +, not 2 shabby

If you want something simple and that works really well run a turbo xs dual stage boost controller. You can run your 11psi and with a flick of a switch you can run your high boost setting. Really good for traction control as well when drag racing. Another good thing is that they are really affordable.

Good luck

Regards-

Todd
