The whole project has been on the DL and not too much is known at this time. Are you intrested in how to? Or just what kind of power its making? I belive the HP is right at 400whp

Centrifugal supercharger + turbocharger = pointless. You'll make less power than you would with similar boost in a large turbo application. Best plan would be a roots style supercharger (makes instant boost) with a clutch on the pulley when a certain rpm hit, when the big turbo would be at full boil (HKS did this in their twin charging kit for the 4AGZE for the supercharged 1988-89 MR2). I admire the creativity, but it's an exercise in futility as a centrifugal type supercharger makes a progressive boost curve quite like a turbocharger would with it's signal line to the wastegate pulled.

kungpaosamuraiii 12-05-2006 01:51 AM

Yup; they just did it for publicity. Gotta admit that it takes some ingenuity to do such a thing and not have the car blow up.

I wonder if a roots would fit back there in the engine bay?

jjos1 12-05-2006 06:14 PM

It would be tight..., a aqua cooled roots based blower would be nice though

THansenite 12-05-2006 07:26 PM

If I remember correctly, there isn't room on our cars to fit a roots style supercharger. I believe that sits right above the injectors and there is a firewall there on our car. Not for sure though, you might want to double check. I am pretty sure it was the roots though.

wow all 3 people in that video were hardcore nerds.
