Where can I get these parts to my turbo?
I'm about to put my turbo on my tC and I have a couple of quick questions. The turbo is an older Airesearch TA0301, so contacting Garrett probably won't do any good.
I'm missing the 4 bolt plate on the top right and I can't seem to find one anywhere, does anyone know where I can get one?
Also, the bottom hole on the housing in the next picture is for the vacuum line....I've seen from other pics of this turbo that it's a 90* fitting. Where can I find that fitting? Also in the next picture, the wastegate vacuum port is significantly larger than my boost controller ports, so how will I hook that up?
Lastly, my downpipe has a dumptube built into it, but the flange doesn't line up with the turbo at all, so can I just block that off?
Any help is greatly appreciated and hopefully I can find all of this so I can install next weekend!

im not sure what 4 bolt plate ur talkin about. but as far as the boost source port goes, u can either run a 90* or a straight. its should be a 1/8th npt fitting. as far as the wastegate goes, u may have to use a similar nipple if its threaded. to the best of my knowledge, internal wastegates usually have a nipple cast into the housing but dont quote me on that. for the downpipe, they make a block off plate for the 38mm and i believe the 44mm external wastegates. u can use that or u can cut the tube and weld a piece of metal over it to seal it shut. hope this helps.

Thank you for your help.
Sorry, that pic is of someones that has the plate, Here's a pic of mine.
The wastegate already has the port, u can see it in the 2nd pic. I think it should be 1/4" hose but my controller is only 1/8'. I know what plate to get to blockoff the dumptube, but is that going to affect anything?

that has to be the most unusual hot side i have ever seen...lol... i would almost say that a 4 bolt flange will would work for ur outlet, but as far as the discharge for the wg, i have no idea...i can honestly say that ive never seen that style before. do u know what the turbo is off of ?

Its off if an older mercedes. A regular 4bolt fits the discharge just fine. I guess ill just go to a shop to fab the wg plate for me. I bought it back before I really knew anything about turbos because the price was right and since then I've learned enough that I wouldn't have bought it if j knew this much then lol. Thanks again for your help.

did u try searching for a flange? u can try callin treadstone or atpturbo and see if they can either have or steer u in the direction to getting the flange for it. i honestly think ur gonna have an issue trying to find and or make one. good luck with the search bud.

you can try www.atpturbo.com and look around their for it they should have the vacuume port. the other stuff you're going to have to get fabbed up.

simple fix all u need to is take it to a welder or a fabrication shop thay can cut a plate and weld it in place. u just need to close the internal wastegate off the hot side of the turbo looks like a standard 4 bolt

Are you planning on using the internal wastegate? If not, just weld the flapper to the housing and dont worry about a block off plate. If youre going to use the internal wg, than youll need to make a flange/dumptube for that port.

as most have said you can fairly easily have someone cut out a plate and either weld it on or drill holes in the plate to bolt it down.
as far as the fitting for the compressor housing it will be an 1/8th npt thread fitting you will need. you can get a 1/8th npt barb fitting for many popular size lines. You dont have to have a line running there however it is your best boost reference point. you can find fittings at most automotive parts stores as well as home depot.

I found a shop close by that will do the plate for me. As far as the vacuum port, a 1/4"not threads right in. I still have the problem that my boost controller is 1/8" and the wg/compressor are 1/4". Thanks everyone for the quick help!

Same here, that's y I'm surprised lol. I'm thinking I'm gonna put on a 1/4"npt x 1/8" hose barb to keep it simple. Then from the wg to the controller will be 1/4" still. All ill need to do there is swap out one side of the controller to 1/4".
