I know you have the auto and as a result have been pulling your harness out every time you shut the car off. Check the wires by the FIC harness. Pulling out the harness by the wire rather than the harness itself could disconnect it from the pin that connects to the FIC. Take a look at the harness for loose wires.
Another thing you should do is load up your gauge option on your laptop while connected to the FIC. Then load your ignition, MAP, and MAF maps... Take a look at what's highlighted in yellow while your engine is running.
Your car is going lean from the description of what your A/F gauge is doing. Check to see what the tables are doing to your tune as you accelerate, or at least have someone looking at it while you drive. Figure out where it's going bad and see if there's an anomoly in your settings.
I spent a few hours on Browndogg's tC this weekend and his body shop ended up pulling out some harness wires and plugging them back into the wrong spots! His car ran like crap when he pulled in and ran perfect after he left.
The FIC is a great unit, especially if you run the 3.1 software. I still think it's the best for the tC regardless of what some other tuners may say. A lot of it comes down to the tune and settings of the FIC. AEM is coming out with an upgraded version soon to so things can only get better.
The new 3.1 software has an awesome map building option that helps you get going with base tunes.
Check into all that and let me know what you find.
PS: Your "Auto-off" box has shipped out and will be at your door on Friday via 2nd day air.

Thankyou again for fixing my car! Dezod West does it again! Go turbo guido!
But about your pop pop pop pop pop pop pop sound that you get... kinda sounds like a machine gun almost. I had that same problem when i first got tuned at UMS in Arizona.
Then i added the 3" exhaust and it boost spiked from 6psi to 7psi just from the exhaust and not being tuned with the new exhaust. then i got tuned and had it tuned at 5psi and i never boost spikes anymore.
My new full re tune done by Churchs in CA was MUCH better than my tune from UMS in AZ. It doesnt do that pop pop pop pop thing anymore. So I would def say its tuning related and how rich your running

ok so the car isnt fixed after all... so lemme explain again what happens.. i even looked around more for some odd things.. ok so this only happens randomly not all the time one day it wont one day it will.. to clarify things Ive been having to unplug my FIC everytime i turn the car off and replug it when turning on. Now what happens in idle WHEN the problem decides to show up the vaccuum now goes down an extra 2 to a total of 24 without AC on it usually hits 22 when running normal. When i throttle its fine but when i get half throttle near 5-6 lbs or WOT coming up to 5-6 lbs.. my AFR goes from 12 to sky rocketing to 15-16-17 then to --- sometimes and my car then seems to feel reallly sluggish in this period. what could it be?
