I'm wanting to swap out my LEDs with blue and white but i wanted to know if there are any specific blue and white LEDs I should buy. And if I'm doing that i was curious as to where to get the resistors and voltage regulator.

Thanks

I've done 2 HVAC led swaps and am working on my third. This one seems to have more dim defrost, a/c and circulation button lights.
Any advice on what resistor or resistors or anything else that could cause this?

Please and thank you

Yes I did. It's the button lights, not the lights under the butttons, but to the sides. I've noticed they dim last after everything else on the hvac, if you use the dimmer on the gauge panel.

Check your soldering and also see if you didn't fried the LED (swap out with another new LED)

Is there anyone in the Raleigh/Durham area that can do this for me? I just don't trust myself with the soldering. I could take everything apart, no problem.

I was able to do this swap a couple weeks ago along with the gauge cluster which i wouldnt have been able to do without these guides, they are great! However, during the drive back to school, the LCD screen on the HVAC flickers between fully bright, roughly half, and then cut to not having any back light what so ever and now does this every once in awhile since. The screen and everything works and is not broken so could this be caused by the resistor to the LCD having a bad connection? or one of the three LEDs? Everything else works except the back light.

My best guess would be that the solder on one or two of the 3 LEDs isn't allowing for a good current.
I actually have the same issue on one of my lights for my speedometer.

Just haven't had the time to take it back apart to either resolder/replace the LED that's doing it.

In regards to the install images....are they all duplicates images or are they for different HVAC units?
I just see the years...sorry for the dumb question.

Needing a install sheet for a 2010 Scion tC HVAC switch and all the images are confusing.

Looks like there are a few duplicate images, but just pay attention to the model years. I did this mod twice and it wasn't that bad at all.

Thanks for the info..... I've done chevy silverado led conversions. Someone just asked me about a 2010 scion HVAC switch..... just needed to know the resistor/LED locations.

Does anyone know of an easy way to remove the voltage regulator off? I tried to put the soldering on the wide side but it's not coming off.

Hello. Do you sell the resistors separately? I brought your Led Ac kit but I lost two of the resistors trying to solder them (resistor 561 and 681). Thanks
