2nd gen steering wheel on 1st gen Scion tC?

Weird question... I LOVE the 2014 Scion tC steering wheel, I want to keep the cruise control and steering wheel radio controls. Has anyone tried this or thinks this will work?

This doesn't help you but I've been wondering this as well. I think the problem may be the air bag though. I have my doubts that they can be swapped between the tc1 and tc2.

Has anyone tried?
