Default Amp left on?

Ok, hooked my amp and stuff up today.. in the rain.. anyhoo
first off if i take my remote wire and just connect that to the 12v power slot and just tie them together will it hurt the car? i mean i know the amp will be on 24/7 but how much power could it actaully use?
and would it just be easier to get a little switch and use one of them empty slots were the foglight switch would go i think, an furthormore, id just find a fuse that had constant power like the acc fuse but i can't sem to figure out how to open the fuse box.. could someone elxplaine that to me,

and no i don't have an aftermarket radio so i can't just use the little blue remote wire that is all purdy with the unit,

tap into the hu's power wire, so the amp only comes on when the hu is on.

otherwise you'll drain your battery

there is a wire you can hook to behind the deck that will only be on when the ignition is on.

The fuse box and the wire behind the radio with be the exact same thing. Your tapping into the ignition wire where it will only send 12 volts when the key is in the on position.

Getting behind the radio. Assuming you've never taken off the center console, it only takes 30 seconds, a deep-well 10mm socket and a phillips screwdriver. The fuses are in the engine bay, i'm pretty sure. Pushing a 12-18awg wire through the firewall grommet is going to be MUCH more painful.
Mind you there are other places to plug it in, but I would take the time to use the blue wire on the harness for the radio.

I think he is talking about the fuses underneath the dash, not in the engine bay.

Default no

yes i was talkin about the under dash fuses but it's ok because i just connected the remote to the 12volt and installed an inline switch on one of those open spots for switches works great now

^Your solution will work fine long-term, provided you don't mind having to flip the switch. You could have a problem if you forget to turn it off and leave the car parked for a long time, as it could drain the battery. No idea what amp(s) you have, but some can draw 1 to 2 amps at idle, which would eventually result in a dead battery.

Some people make life way more difficult then it has to be... Tap into the grey wire behind the deck and it will turn the amp on and off with the ignition. End of story.
