no.

2 things, audioban is horrible and why would u get 5-1/4's? why not get 6-1/2s that will fit. IMHO go for Elemental Designs. best stuff out there for the price

rvpps2rocks 08-16-2006 06:18 AM

doesnt the rear only fit 5 1/4

nebster 08-16-2006 06:23 AM

ED makes brackets for 20 bucks that fit 6-1/2s. plus they're 250 bucks for a high quality set of comps and 165 for a good set.

can i make one or make a baffel...i might be wrong on the baffel though im not really sure what it is yet. i know it bolts to ur door or w/e but im not sure whats it for

nebster 08-16-2006 06:40 AM

it bolts to the door so a larger deaper better set of speakers can fit in. for ex. i have a baffel on my front for the comps and in the back i will soon have a baffel to fit little 6" subs.

rvpps2rocks 08-16-2006 07:28 AM

yea okay so they are what i thought they were. can u make a baffel urself, or how much does mdf wood cost. i saw a thread on here that had a 6 1/2" baffel template.

Yanki01 08-16-2006 12:20 PM

MDF wood is around $20 at local hardware store. I also recommend no rear speakers! Leave them stock. IMO!

this is a baffel...

nebster 08-16-2006 01:55 PM

ED also makes baffels for the front and rear that are 20 bucks i think (i'm not sure)

if you e-mail them they'll get back to you and hook you up

SCI_TC_GUY 08-16-2006 02:04 PM

yeah... and the $250 High end comps that nebster mentioned are actually only $185+shipping through Scionlife's discount

eD(i)6500s
www.edesignaudio.com/groupbuy.php

you'll definitely need an amp for those though, a Nine.2 is a good match for them..

nebster 08-16-2006 02:05 PM

oh yeah i forgot about the SL discount.

rvpps2rocks 08-17-2006 03:28 AM

wait why do u recommend no rear speakers...or keeping them stock

Deeelcb212 08-17-2006 04:26 AM

keeping them stock is half ___. if your gonna do it do it right.

SCI_TC_GUY 08-17-2006 11:44 AM

all standard media (radio, SAT, CD, MP3) is all recorded in stereo mode. Stereo means only 2 channels (whereas mono is only one). true SQ is all about reproducing the exact recording the way the producer wanted the song / track to sound. Since almost all media is recorded in 2 channels, you only need 2 channels to accurately reproduce the recording, hince the reasoning for having only upgraded fronts, and stock or no rears.
