Piece of cake. First, pull the piece out by the brake handle. Grab the edges and pull up. It may require a little force the first time, but after that it becomes easier. Then pull the piece with the cig lighter. Again, by the edges. Get a corner going. Then, do the same with the center console. Start at and edge and pop it out. Once pulled, the center will have a connector near the bottom. Push the tab and pull it off. The top of the center console has the vent tube attachment, so it may seem struck. Just pull down and out.

If you have an auto, you will have to put the car in drive to remove the cig portion of the console.

This car is like a lego set. It just clips together.

To remove the top part of the actual console, it's just screws. To pull the whole thing...well...Hmmm...sounds like something to add to the walkthrough. If you just wanted the trim pieces, click the link in my sig ;)

Thanks! I will give that a try. I am having the dark silver stipe on each side of the center console painted and need the whole middle console from the top of the dash down to the arm rest removed.

Figured it out. (how to remove it) finally, I will take pics tonight and post them. if you dont have the patience then just open up the storage compartment, peal up (its not glued or anything) the small carpet piece at the bottom of the comparment and wola!!! theres two bolts that go into the floor... im at work, but from what i saw during my lunch break its just a matter of removing these two bolts and the two phillips screws up under the hvac controls... ill be removing it when i get home and i will post pics.
