Default to clear or not clear the cf waterfall?

a few weeks ago i finally decided to change up my interior that has been mostly stock since 06. i ordered some cf fabric that i got from CarbonFabricSource.com and i am very happy with how it came out, but now im wondering if i should put a clear coat on it. i tried it on a small piece of the fabric and it looks like crap it turned it cloudy.

so i wanted to ask should i clear coat or no clear, and what kind to use on fabric?

here are some pics of the project

clear coat is only use for when people paint stuff and want to protect the finish from scratches and give it that nice shiny look, bascially seals and protects,im not sure how well ill work for the CF fabric but honestly na i wouldnt do it.....might not come out as good as it would on paint

You have to lay down some resin before the clear. Then with the clear, make sure it's high quality. Wet sand, re clear... then polish.

If you do decide to clear it , use something like this ( http://compositeenvisions.com/epoxy-...allon-535.html ) . It may require you to do a little sanding after a few coats and after the final cure but it would buff out to a glass clear shine. Also here is an example of carbon fiber skinning parts and clearing them afterwards ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rTWaV1imzs )
