I bought this one from ebay - it doesnt fit the guts from our keys into it even though it says it does. talked the guys about it and they had no idea or information really.

well yeah i guess I lied, that IS what you have to do, but I defy anyone to try and open their black 'chip holder' piece successfully, Its seriously superglued all the way around and impossible to take apart.
oh and the unit itself is incredibly cheap, Chinese knock off style plastic and rubber parts. Unless what I ordered was a knock off somehow but I doubt it. I wouldn't expect it to last more than a few weeks if it did indeed work in the end.

Someone was saying something like that in one of the other key threads - that some other forum users (mustangs or something?) were saying they don't last long at all.
Have to say mine is still hanging in there quite well. Still quite sturdy and no problems.

Either way...I just don't want to dish out the cash and ruin one of my keys, just to have this thing break in a month or two. That's why I wanted to wait to see how long yours lasted lol.

Just found out CStC had copied my ENTIRE post here and made a DIY on their site of it (using my name at least). That's not cool.
I posted there and asked them to remove it... if anything because no one f-ing asked me if they could use it.
