Error 4 Code

Hey guys, I have a 2005 tC with the upgraded cd player. FOr the past couple of months, every once in a while, I get an error 4 code on my cd player. When this happens i can no longer do anything with the cd player. As soon as I turn the car off and then back on, it works fine... for a while.

Anyone know what this is and if i can fix it?

I had the same problem with mine. I replaced it no thinking about getting it looked at under warranty. I still wonder what caused the problem in the first place.

there have always been issues with the 6 disc changer unit
(which is probably why they got rid of it and started to offer the ipod units)

the only way to fix it, is to have it replaced. there were later designed 6 disc change headunits that had that issue semi-resolved..

other people have installed a small kill switch to kill power to the unit temporarily (which is the same as you turning off and back on the car to fix your problem)

I had the same problem years ago and it only happened when i put a re-writable cd in. Just change your deck if anything.
