Factory sub idea
 

So I have a idea I don't know if it would work of if anyone has done this or not. I was thinking about getting a kicker cvt 6.5 4ohm and a kicker zx300.1 amp and using the factory enclosure. Has anyone else tried anything like this with any other 6.5" subs?

I remember one thread of someone wanting to do this, but I don't think he ever posted results.

The enclosure is not very big in side but it might actually work pretty good in the stock enclosure.I was amaed a thow small the stock sub was and how flimsy.

Ya know it might just work out for you. I say give it a shot, it cant hurt. See if you can get the 2 ohm sub instead of the 4 ohm.

Yeah, it's probably feasible. But as I posted in the previous thread, it might make more sense to drop an extra $100 or so and get the eD stealth box.

The Ed box works great but it has one down fall......the dang floor over it will vibrate so badly you will end up raising it up a good inch or two to keep the floor off the sub.I pulled mine out and sold it,sound is really good but I went to a bigger setup to blend better with my comps.
