How do I remover this ring?

I am about to paint a few pieces of my interior but I cant seem to remove this ring. I wanted to know how do I remove it? Name: ring.jpg

Twist it then pull it out. If you look on the back you can see two tabs and two openings I use a flat head to push the tab towards the opening.

yes. you have to pry up two little tabs on the back just a hair, and then twist it. dont pry it from the front or youll scratch it.
