How install aftermarket stereo/deck on newer cars?
Out of curiousity, does anyone know how they install aftermarket stereos into the newer cars today? Like the Lexus ES or 2007 Camry. The stereo's are integrated into the console area (when you don't buy GPS), not a seperate rectangle stereo like older cars or ours. Do people buy premolded areas? Do people have to do it custom so it's expensive? This question been bugging me for a while now.

The dash kits are plastic molds that replace the ones that come stock and you use the knobs and adapters with the mold, and you're offered a single/double din slot for aftermarket radios. That's how it was when my friend was looking at the 06 Mazda6 which has a similar console to the Camry
