HVAC harness diagram
 

does anyone have a wiring diagram for the harness going to the back of the HVAC? when my brother was installing my dvd player, he happened to cut the wrong harness off, and now toyota wants to charge me $1500 for another harness. i am having problems connecting them back because there is more then one wire for almost every color. :(

I can try and help you....but can you take pictures of the harness and the location of the cut wires....for ex. you might've cut the a/c control assembly...i dunno yet..so post some pics...let's see the the actual harness

why did he cut anything???? ya know... they make wiring harness things for aftermarket decks that plug right into your factory harness...

yah man... you're kinda screwed... it doesn't matter if you have a diagram or not, the fact is there's a bunch of wires that's just there with similar colors...

make your brother fix it. he messed up. you shouldn't have to do anything but sit on the couch.

i shouldn't have to. but i am in texas now and he is in florida, so he can't really fix it. plus he figured he would do all the wiring without the harness.

so are you saying i can't do this myself squall? i figured if i atleast knew what the wires went to, when i plugged them all up, if said thing didn't work, i could try switching up that color to try to get the right combination.

it's all color matching then.. there's no need for any diagram..

if more than one color are the same and you hooked them up wrong.. then you gotta switch and keep trying..

if he did what i think he did... then it's all easter egging... if he can't fix it... then crap... he's gotta fork up the $1500.

nice pic...i didn't realize there're several wires w/ the same color in there...i'd hate to be in his position. good luck Trick (from Baghdad?)!

yeah, i need to change that.... i am not in baghdad anymore, i just got back about a month and a half ago. well it looks like i am going to go hook all the wires up, and just keep switching them around until i get them right.

you can't try to match up the cut sides together? maybe there's like a really, really small difference enough to spot something...

like that one episode of CSI:Miami and matching up tennis strings with the fiber tears.. :doh:
