Default iPod adapter issues

Just curious if anyone has had any issues with the iPod adapter. I have the 4 gb Nano and this past Friday it suddenly would not play, just skip randomly through Playlists. I unplugged the iPod and it was still doing it when attempting to play througfh headphones. I hooked it up to my PC and did an update, iPod worked fine - until I plugged it back into the aux adapter in the car - starting the same process. Is it a known tC issue or iPod?

I've noticed that certain podcasts make my iPod freak out, particularly anything from inthesound.com (drum & bass). I don't know if it's their encoding or something but it'll play OK in the car but when I try to listen to it through headphones the iPod shuts off when I hit select. Doing a reset didn't help either. I had to wipe everything off the drive and restore it on my desktop. And in my girlfriends car if I had any podcasts from inthesound.com the iPod wouldn't play at all through her FM transmitter. So my advice is before thinking it's the iPod itself check to see if it's any of the MP3s. It took me a while (and a lot of cursing and swearing) to figure out that was my problem.

You mentioned both the aux and iPod adapter - which one are you using?

If you're using the aux input, then there's no way that the tC will "mess up" your iPod.
