Default Looking for an aftermarket stereo...

First off, hi guys this is my first post, but I've been lurking these boards for a couple months now. Just got my NB Tc two weeks ago and I love it. Now onward!

I'm looking for an aftermarket stereo ..but I think I'm too picky
The D3 looks amazing, and has the ability to do everything I want and more. At $1k I know it's a steal, but that's still a bit more than I'd like to spend (read: I'd need to wait till christmas for it ) I also don't really need a GPS or DVD player at this time so that's why I think I can get away with spending less for a HU with features ill actually use.

My dream stereo would have the following:
Ipod Control through the unit
Bluetooth capability to sync with a phone
Retain steering wheel controls
Match the amber of the tC (I really like the color of the dash, sue me )

My question for you guys is the following: Are there any head units that meet these requirements under the price of the D3?

Thanks in advance

To retain sw controls, you want to work with an eclipse. I'm not sure if they have the bluetooth capabilities however. You can hook an ipod up to one however. If you get an eclipse video unit, the sw controls are plug and play. If you get an eclipse non-video unit, you can keep sw controls with some simple wiring. One way or another, no need for a PAC adapter or anything like that to keep the sw controls.

I took a look at the eclipse units and found this:

it looks like there are adapters for both bluetooth and an ipod. The one thing I cant seem to find out about is the steering wheel controls. Are all eclipse units able to be programed via a CD?

This unit looks like it'll fit well with the tC's stock interior, if the steering wheel controls are retained this thing would be near perfect.

I don't think the cd2000 has bluetooth - in fact i'm sure it doesnt. I used to use the cd3000 and it didn't have bluetooth. However, you can easily maintain your sw controls. It is a matter of simple soldering. Any eclipse can keep sw controls. I'm just not sure that bluetooth is available, but definitely not on the lower end models.
