Lost key options
So I am down to my valet key as I lost one of my keys and the other broke(plastic casing broke when starting the car and the transponder chip is broken).
Anyone know what my options are? I have heard that you cannot add additional keys without a master key. Is that true? And if so what is the cost to have the ECU reset to add new keys? Is it possible to DIY?
Would it be possible to just buy a remote start system with an immobilizer bypass instead of paying the dealer to program keys? Could I just remote start the car and then put a key in without a transponder programmed to the ECU?

I did some research and it looks like the ECU can be reseeded using a TIS techstream cable and a seed reset code.
Does anyone know this procedure? I found a website that offers to sell the code to individuals. Specifically after you reseed the ECU how do you add the new keys?
