Default OEM shift boot with automaic.

I have a simple question, if you have an OEM shift boot when you go from R to P does it feel like its about to rip or harder to shift? Or is it just me? thanks!

Why do people do this? Peeps should get a MT from the get-go.

No it doesnt feel like its gonna rip and i did it because i hate the look of the auto guide plate, not cuz i wanted a mani. get over it, most of us do it because it looks nicer and most of the newer model cars these days have a boot rather then a guide plate, so its not something new were coming up with

^^There's nothing for me to 'get over'.
If you want to look like an MT and still sound like an AT, more power (no pun intended) to you.

yeah the part where i said to get over it was when you said "Shift boot... on an automatic... now THAT'S funny!! " common, really its not that hilarious guy. if you got out of a tc and saw other "higher end model cars" you would see that its not that uncommon. well back on topic then, no your boot wont rip.

I put the shift boot on my automatic for a couple reasons.

1. I was getting sick and tired of seeing the ugly guide plate caked with dust. Which is weird because I keep my car in top condition, both interior and exterior.

2. I love seeing the "WTF! Where's the clutch?" look on people's faces when they get in my car to drive it.

I put mine on cause I was embarrassed when my car was an auto and my friends would laugh at me =[....no, really it gets annoying when people say that we are trying to look like MT when we just hate the plate that comes stock as everyone else said.

Lol, ok but really, yes I have realized that its a little bit harder to shift just because of the strain from the boot. Not enough to make me go back to the plate, god nothing can do that lmao.

When I did the manual boot on my old Auto it was hard to get it into park for a couple days, then the leather stretched after sitting overnight in P a few times.

Beware though, the leather-on-leather on the right side when going into P will chaff and look like crap after a few months. I tried to bring the boot up but it never stood.
