^ same question like everybody else. I would assume its keyless but then again, you need the key for the security to disable to start the car.

dont worry your not annoying me like i said im here to help.

the way to do it key less is more difficult . what i did was i cut a key to the end so that a key is always in the ignition to the "ON" position and covered it so its like theres no key and i had a power kill switch to the whole key ignition switch. now your thinking anyone would steal it but remember the tC has an engine imobilizer which means if the big plastic key head is not one inch away from the ignition the car wont start so all i had to do was swipe my key head for 2 seconds near the ignition and the immobilizer is off. the only downfall is with the key in the ignition always the door locks wont work with the key head so you would have to lock your door from the outside with a key which defeats the objective of being keyless. and that is why i took it off.

its hard to explain hope you understood what im tryna say lol

it not from a other car its just a switch available on the market

you hold it till it starts which is only like a second or 2

Great DIY, but would this work with a 80amp 8 pin relay? I got the switch glowing red and tapped the green ignition (my t-taps would only fit that one) and now I need to wait till tuesday to buy bigger t-taps for the black and blue ignitions. Thanks!

Is there a way to extend the range on the sensor in the cara so that the key only has to be somewhere in the cabin to work like on cars with built in push button start?

If you could just have the key in your pocket or near the center console and have it be push button then you would have the best of both worlds....
