pioneer amp and speakers, would this work
hi i wanna put new speakers in my car (all 4) i was looking at the these for the front and the back http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...emier/TS-D602P
and for the amp i was looking at http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...eries/GM-6300F im not good with how many watts i need to give the speakers full power and stuff like that so i was wondering if u guys can help my out |
Yeah they would work, but i would go with better speakers. but thats just my personal opinion
|
Try here also...
Crutchfield.com Type in your info and they will tell you what 'fits'. Read the reviews of the products your interested in. Make sure to get components for the front at least. Spend enough and they will give you FREE stuff. (Harness, dash kit, etc.) That's where I purchased my set-up and for what I paid it sounds great to me. GL |
I have that amp and it seems to do its job pretty well. If you're using the stock HU without line outs, it's good because it has speaker level inputs.

i have a pioneer d3 in my car, i was just wondering about the watts and stuff cuz i don't wanna blow anything up or over power the speakers and would i need these for the back speakers?

Anyways, however you want to wire whatever number of speakers your amp can handle, the amp has the diagram on it: http://sonicelectronix.com/item_8564...GM-6300F.html# ^click on "view other and larger pictures" and look at the guide above the speaker outputs. |
ok i kinda get it but than where would those wires run from the amp, if to the speakers (lets say one channel per speaker) than where would the stock connection that is hooked up to the speakers already? if u don't know what i mean let me know ill try to word it better

If you get an amp, use the RCA outs. Like this...
Speakers---> wired to Amp---> RCAs (from amp) to HU If you place the amp in the rear, be sure to run your power wire from the amp down the driver side of the car. Run your RCAs down the passenger side. That way you won't get a buzz/hum noise coming through your speakers. |
ok so then wat would i do with the stock wiring, the one going to the speakers? sorry for all the questions its just i wanna get it right before i do this
|
i had more questions that this when I first started :P
The factory wires you can tape up to another set of wires I wouldnt cut them, you may want to sell the car later then put the factory ones back in |

I'm not in my tC that much to enjoy the audio so I just went with 4 gauge wire. (Just in case I want to 'upgrade' to bigger and better things later.) |
