Default Radio Cover

Bought an 05 tC a few weeks ago and noticed that it came with the radio cover, yet, it was not attached and lying in the glove box. After examination of the climate control unit, I realized that the springs which hold the radio cover in are missing, does anyone know where I can purchase these springs and any other parts I might need to re-attach the radio cover? I found on ebay the whole climate control assembly..but I don't need that entire thing, just the small parts to fit the radio cover on.

^that's messed up.

OP - You can find the entire waterfall on ebay from $30-60 bucks without the HVAC unit. Good luck finding just the door. Like Mandystc said though, junk yard could be a best bet, but don't be a scuzzball and steal it..

Not sure what you mean by "springs that hold the radio door in". There is a coiled spring on the left side that lifts the door up from the closed position, but the door is not 'held in' by springs. The door and moving hinge assembly is screwed into the back side of the climate control panel, more commonly called the 'waterfall'.

You can see part of the spring under the half-moon shaped gear piece, and one of the screws which secure the door assembly to the waterfall just below it. Check yours again, to see what you actually need.

Yea, that's the part I need, that spring/cover/screw..both of those are completely missing, I guess the guy that had the car before me put a new head unit in and ditched the radio cover. I guess I would need a hinge assembly..
