Default seat won't stay upright

I don't know WHAT I did to my car last night, but when I woke up this morning to go to work, my seat was fully reclined and it won't stay up! Anybody else ever experience this? I really hope it doesn't lead to a long/expensive visit to the dealership . . .

I had this happen in reverse with my old truck. It would stay forward pressing against your back. Anyhow, slide the seat all the way to the back and rapidly move the seat angle from front to rear. The more violent the better It usually ends up jiggling the little gears back into place. Now slide the seat all the way forward and recline it as far as it will go. Hint: Take off the headrest and it should go really far back. This is likely all you need. If it doesn't work, take the seat out of the car (easy to do) and inspect further.

Check to make sure there isn't a quarter stuck in the handle part of the seat. It happen to me a few years ago.

I though my seat was broke but then the dealership found the quarter and it fixed it.. they didn't charge me for it but they kept the quarter.

Most likely you adjusted the seat all the way back with the lower lever that's on the bottom part of the seat, and your trying to adjust it back up with the lever
on the vertical part of the seat. Just use the bottom lever and adjust the seat all the way forward, then use the same lower lever to fit it where you want.
