Default shifter boot install

Anyone have and useful info on how to install the shifter boot in the tc?? I see the instrustions on redlines website and it says to use tape to hold the bottom on the boot to the console. Is this try??
Is they any other instructions if DIY that I can refer too?
Also what holds the top of the shifter boot to the ****? Is there some kind of collar to hold it like the one Doc Isotope sells??
Thanks

I just used the stock metal clip and one of my girls elastic hair ties, wrapped it around a few times to hold up the shift boot. It will stay, I've had mine for about 8 months and its still fine.

just anything that you can find to stay tight on the shifter would work.
