Default Speakers?

Hi everyone Im new to the forums and I wanted to get just some input. Ive recently decided to replace my speakers in my 2009 scion TC. I have never installed speakers in a car before the only thing I have done since I got it back in 09 was install a pioneer p dvd 4100. I wasn't looking for anything amazing just my tocks were worn out and stated sounding like crap. I didnt want to spend to much and according to crutchfield the tc is limited to mostly 5 1/4 speakers due to the depth I guess. I guess what I really want to know if the speakers I ordered are ok as like I said earlier im not looking to any competitions I just want to have better sound than what my stock speakers were.

for the front I got
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_777P52C...2C.html?tp=106

and for the back I got
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_975B5X/...B5X.html?tp=97

I also plan on getting a amp and a powered sub in the future nothing powerful just a small sound ordnance amp and sub made by them

THanks for any input good or bad lol

you can fit 6 1/2's in the front and rear. crutchfield says 5 1/4 because thats what the front stock speakers are. but the hole is big. you'll have to get speaker baffels to make them fit since the stock speakers are shaped weird. i got mine from dr. isotope. they are made out of mdf. they are kind of expensive but they are worth it. if you end up getting 6 1/2's i'll be selling mine soon if you are interested. hope this helps.

Thanks I already bought the two pair of 5 1/4 I tested them out last night with my surround system to make sure they worked and I must say I was surprised at how good both sounded and since I didn't use any kind of eq on my surround I'm sure they will sound better in my car plus when I get an amp and sub even better.

Does anyone know if the rear 5 1/4 speakers I got would fit in the stock bracket or will I definitely need to drill holes?

Thanks but I have tried that and found nothing but info on making custom brackets what I really need to know is if anyone has used the supplied bracket from crutch-field for the front and back?
