Steering Wheel Control Adapters
I'm installing a Pioneer AVH-2400bt in my 2007 Scion tC. I'm trying to come up with the best way to still be able to use my steering wheel controls with this aftermarket stereo. I've looked into the Axxess ASWC and the PAC SWI-PS. For anyone who has installed either of these in their Scion, are they easy to "undo," if I decide to get rid of the car and put the factory stereo back in? (I'd like to retain that option, if possible.) Thanks in advance for any input!
there's quite a few who'f used the PAC wired one, to undo if you decide to ditch the unit shouldnt be bad. it would just be clipping wires and then sodering them back to the way they were before. i've never done it but im guessing that's all that needs done
I installed the Axxess into my tC with my Pioneer AVIC-X940BT and it was a fairly simple install. I had a bit of a problem which ended up being a bad ground to the stock harness. Once tech support advised me to move it, it worked great. It has no delay and doesnt need to be programed, works just like the stock one, except you can fast forward thru songs.
