Default Viper window module 530T

yesterday i had the Viper Window Automation Module(530T) installed in my car along for my viper alarm system. when i went to pick up my car, i noticed the control for the passanger windows next the the driver seat doesnt work. the store i got it done at isnt open till tuesday, so i'm going back then. but is there anything i can look for to try to fix it myself? also if anyone has it, is there a way to make the window up/down feature non-automatic (like when u push the button to lower the window, you have to hit it again to stop it if you dont want it down all the way) .. its like that whether the window is going up or down.

btw, this is the module that was installed for me. i tried playing with the dip switches like it says in the user guide.

i know when u disconect the plugs for the door u have to reprogram the windows to work properly. when adding window mods to the tc the 530t shouldnt have been use due to programing issues, and a 529t should have been use. and this info comes straight from DEI. hope that helps.

hrmm.. i'll have to talk to the shop on tuesday...from what i read about the 529T is that it will do 2 windows in one direction, or 1 in both directions. they sold me on the 530t because it will do both up and down. i'll see what they say on tuesday. thanks for the heads up

i too just got a 791xv installed. i wanted window mods because i had them on my truck, talked to my friend who is a master installer for best buy. he told me i couldnt use the 530 or 529 on the tC due to the window controles. IMO go back to the shop, have them remove if, and refund the money on it, they shouldnt have installed it in the first place... they dont know what they are doing.

lol... not to be a d!ck or anything... but those two dont belong together... i have been installing for 6 years now... now i know you can get a master mecp cert thru bby... but still.... i have run into the same problem... the auto windows make it a hell of a time for this work.... i had a friend of mine say he got two 529's to work,,, i would make sure that they reprogrammed the window control... then... make sure they have all their connections correct and such... but good luck to you.. hope everything works out..

stopped by today and they confirmed that the 530T is not compatible w/ the 07 tC... they ordered me 2 529t's and will just swap them 2 for the 530t when they come in next week. he's not charign me any extra for the installation of 2 529t's over the 1 530t, so thats pretty cool of him

just a little update.. they installed 2 529T's in my car today... only thing i'm not 100% liking is with the window modules, the windows are always auto up/down.. you have to stop them if you want them down part way...just a little to get used to.. oh well... nice to have things working ALMOST the way they should be...

I have to hold the buttons on my key fob to get them to go down all the way. I can get them to open part way, half way, or all the way. When I hit the lock button, it closes all the way. Only problem I run in to is that the window controls on the doors reset themselves from time to time.

yeah.. to get them down all the way you have to hold the Aux button for 4.5 seconds for them to go down all the way.. and i believe its 1 second to get them to step down gradually...
