Default ’05 Scion tC Release Series 1.0 Absolutely Red

Subject: ’05 Scion tC Release Series 1.0
Toyota Motor Sales, USA is pleased to announce pricing for the Scion tC
Release Series 1.0, the fourth in a series of limited edition vehicles for Scion.
Pricing will be made available to the public on March 23, 2005, in time for the
New York Auto Show.

The first limited edition series for the Scion tC, Release Series 1.0 offers several
unique exterior and interior enhancements.
The tC Release Series 1.0 features a bright exterior body color, Absolutely Red,
with unique details, such as color-keyed strut tie bar, battery tie down and billet
oil cap. The exterior is rounded out with a distinctive sports grille and
aggressively styled 18” alloy wheels in a dark graphite finish.

The interior of the Release Series is adorned with subtle, black seat fabric with
red highlights designed to complement the Absolutely Red exterior color. Other
interior enhancements include: specially badged Release Series floor mats and
cargo mat, exclusive Release Series brushed aluminum door sills, and
individually numbered badging in each Release Series car.
Only 2,500 units of the tC Release Series 1.0 will be available, which will begin
arriving at Scion dealerships in April.

Red is my mom's favorite color. I'm glad I went with white. I really wish they would have gone with the lime green from the Five Axis show tC.

Overpriced (I bet) for a bunch of useless things except a red paintjob and 18" wheels. I mean, cool and all, but I am stil happy I got a flint.

Very true. The ONLY thing I'd want outta this car is the grill and I can live without it. if it was s/c that'd be a different story but it's not so I don't care...

the people who are buying the Series 1.0 because of it's exclusivity should be happy..when the Release 2.0 comes out the SC will probably be standard so you'll have 2,500 limited supercharged tC's driving around in the same color..along with all the standard colors that'll have the SC by then..so a Release 1.0 with a SC will probably be pretty rare if thats what you're looking for.

Battery tie down?
oil cap?
door sills?
floor mats?

Sounds like the ones the dealerships are already trying to pack full of options just to jack the price up!

The package price better be a really good deal, or else with those 18" rims you're lookin' at 20 grand! For that price I'd rather be supercharged, just buy an SRT-4 (which already comes in red)

If they can offer it all up for $17,000 maybe, but I bet half will be Automatics though. That's another grand right there!

I know the price for the package, and I can tell you - it's a freakin bargain!

Think stupid cheap for all that crap.

thanks to McGeorge for posting the info...i was going to spend $900-$1,500 for 18" rims and probably $100-200 for a de-badged grille anyways..so if it's around there then that'll be cool because i'm really just interested in the color..i'm pretty sure the package price will be cheaper than a full factory paint job..and that includes the money i'll lose on my trade..which isn't much...the tC is holding it's value pretty well.

<<~ dork.

Don't hate on the accessories, yo. It's still just a lot of fun to see something new in the works. Picky bastards...
